First Updates this Fall: Operations with Routes and Favorite Points

If you are currently preparing for your first fall trip, you definitely have to try new Waypointer features.

Routes Download and Upload
We wrote before that we'd added to Waypointer Route Creation function. Now you can download created route and upload a new one from file (GPX and KML format).



















Favorite points

Mark points which you like most as "Favorite". To assign this status to a point just click the star.
Favorite points are displayed as a separate item in the tag list.

Starting this month all the registered users of Waypointer are allowed to make group operations with POI. You can select the necessary region, assign chosen POI tags and download only POI of selected area.

The July Updates of Waypointer

In the very beginning of July we would like to represent you our new features. Mainly they aimed on improvement of Waypointer user interface. But some of new features definitely will be a pleasant surprise for you. 
So, here they are...

1. Short Tour on The Website

If you are visiting Waypointer for the first time, we'll tell you about it's main tools and show you, how you should start your trip planning. Although you already know, that the first thing you should do is to register on our website.



2. New Navigtion Buttons in POI Category Filter

We've added four new buttons for group operations with categories. Also now you can chose one of customized filter, according to the type of your trip: POI for hiking, POI for city travel, POI for car travel. If you have ideas how to group POI, please share your thoughts with us.


3. POI pictures

Create new POI with photo! Now you can add a link for picture (HTML) to your POI description. Share with the world the beauty you have seen!


4. Ruler to measure the route

Ones you chose the POI you want to visit, you will wish for sure to measure the distance to it. It's way easier to do this with embedded ruler :)



5. New Map Layer

And the last but not the least features for today. We've added some new map layers (e.g Here and OpenTopoMap) in this release. Take a look at the list and choose the most appropriate for you.

The June Updates of Waypointer

By your request we've added a few new features to Waypointer this month.

Clustering


From now, when you scale a map, nearby POI get together in groups, called “clusters”. It makes Waypointer even more convenient to use, because POI don't overlap and overload a map.















Updated Tag Filter


We bet you have already tagged your POI. Recently we added a new item to your list, named “Untagged points”. It will help you easily find POI, which still need to be tagged.
